Vejle Boldklub Kolding, former known as Vejle Boldklub, have produced midfielders as Allan Simonsen and Thomas Gravesen. Great Dane Football Blog puts focus on the next midfield talent: Jeppe Andersen.

The nineteen year old talent describes himself as a "relatively skilled technical player, who is great in the small spaces and is creative in the attacking play" but at the same time, Andersen is capable of playing a number of positions on the midfield. Nicolai Wael, First team coach in VBK says:

"Jeppe is one of our young players who has been through our talent department. He is a technical skilful player who is playing on our midfield. He has a sense of goalscoring and has a great kick".
Jeppe Andersen joined Vejle Boldklub at the age of ten and has worked his way up the system. By the age of seventeen, he got his first contract with the club lasting for three years, and VBK means a lot to the youngster:

"The club means a lot to me! I have played here since i was ten, but I'm from Give which is about thirty minutes from here, so I have always followed the club, also when I didn't play here".

What Andersen especially likes about Vejle Boldklub Kolding is "the history of the club and the way of playing football". However, asked if he was one of the last "club men" in modern football, Jeppe Andersen answered:

"It is hard to say. Every player has a dream of moving on, and possibly a foreign country, but right now my focus lies on promotion with Vejle Boldklub Kolding".

Coach Nicolai Wael supports the young player in his dreams, but wants Andersen to "take the next step into Superligaen" and from there develop himself.

Jeppe Andersens Denmark career started at the age of seventeen, when he was selected for the Danish U18 national team. Since then, he has played eleven matches for Denmark. The midfielder acknowledge the experience he is getting with the youth teams, but also dreams of playing for the A-team within a few years.

Andersen has so far played forty four matches for Vejle Boldklub Kolding and scored seven goals. The talent is in the squad for the away match against Skive IK on Sunday.

The summer transfer window has hardly closed before we can look forward to the next. Many players are surrounded by rumours sending them to or away from the Premier League in January - Great Dane Football Blog list the most likely to join or leave EPL.

5. Yann M'Vila to Arsenal or Chelsea

Not any transfer window goes by without linking Yann M'Vila to either Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham. The french midfielder from Rennes is eager to leave France and join the Premier League. At the moment, Arsenal seems to be the best club for him as they have sold Alex Song. M'Vila can be the replacement on the defensive midfield.

4. Ashley Cole to PSG

Ashley Cole is one of the elder player in Chelsea and is probably on his way out of the team. According to The Mirror, Abramovich has said that no player over 30 will be offered more than a one year contract. Ashley Cole's contract expires next season, leaving the January window as the only option for Chelsea to make money on him. It is well known that Cole is a fan of money, which makes PSG an opportunity as the next employee. Furthermore, PSG-manager Carlo Ancelotti has opened the door for the defender saying his is one of the best on his position.

3. Falcao to Chelsea

Like M'Vila Falcoa is also linked with a transfer to England, in every transfer window the last couple of years. The Columbian has been rumoured close to Chelsea more times than I can count. However, often there has been nothing in the story. The current economic crisis in Spanish football can send Falcao to Chelsea given Atletico Madrid a much needed £45m.

2. Nani to Juventus

Several media reports that Nani should be unhappy with his wage at Old Trafford. Juventus is keeping an eye on the Portuguese and looks as the club most likely to buy him. However, Nani has two years left of his contract and might be too expensive for the Italians.

1. Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United

Manchester United has been out for Robert Lewandowski for the last year and especially after his last season in Dortmund. The Polish striker has rejected to sign a new contract at Dortmund, and the club might want to sell him in January in order to make money on him. United seems as the club most likely to become Lewandowski's next employee having brought his former teammate Shinji Kagawa in earlier this year.

Sir Alex Ferguson was furious after his side lost against Tottenham in the weekend. After the match, The Scotch claimed that the four minutes extra time was an "insult to the game. It denies you a proper chance to win a football match". Is Ferguson, right?

Even if, the referee Chris Foy had added more minutes to the second half, Manchester did not even look close to a win - not even a draw. Some might see it as an excuse when the manager said to BBC Sport "There were six substitutions, the trainer came on, so that's four minutes right away, and the goalkeeper must have wasted about two or three minutes, and they took their time at every goal kick". However, at some point the Scotch is right; there is simply too much waste time in modern football.

The former football referee, Graham Poll wrote in Daily Mail on Monday said, "The time the ball os on play is recorded in all toplevel football and used to compile possession statistics. For Champions League games they show the ball is often in play for less than 25 minutes a half". According to Poll, a solution could be to replace the "45 minutes each half and replace it with 30 minutes ball-in-play time" as it would result in "players trying to waste time would gain nothing because the clock isn't running".

Sir Alex Ferguson said after the match "it's a flaw in the game that the referee is responsible for time keeping". Once again there is a point in Ferguson's comment. There is no doubt that a referee can be affected by the two teams players, as well as the crowd on the stands. A referee can be so affected that he will put on an extra few minutes or even a few less. A solution could be to have an official on the stand, taking care of the timekeeping, as we see it in other sports. This will take some of the pressure of the referee, as well as keep the players from wasting the time. They never know when the whistle is going to blow.

Manchester simply wasn't good enough in the match against Tottenham, and it might just have been sour grapes from Ferguson. However, the Scotsman is right; if we want to see faster and better football without time waste, something has to change. However, it seems to be a distant project before the times will chance in football.

The Champions League rookies FC Nordsjaelland takes on last seasons winner from Chelsea FC in Match of the Week.

Champions League Group E
Parken
02.01.2012 @ 19.45 BST

What is the status of the two teams, before the match?

The home team is only missing the talented striker Joe Sisse for the match against Chelsea FC. The English is also missing one player as the striker Daniel Sturridge is out in this match.

How is the two teams form?

The Danes lookes sharp in their 3-0 win against Esbjerg this weekend. The team is currently positioned as number three in the Danish league and is still in the Danish Cup. Chelsea is unbeaten in the Premier League and won 6-0 in last week's Capital One Cup match.

What to expect from this match?
Taking a look on the two squads, there is no doubt that Chelsea is the best team. However, the Danes belives in their chance, and that they can overcome the English defends with their speed. John Terry is pointed out as the weakest link on the Chelsea team, by FCN coach Kasper Hjulmand. One thing is for sure the Danes are not going to lie down and let Chelsea play. However, the Londoners will push forward from the first whistle blow and play some attacking football.

Who is going to win?

Chelsea are favorites in the match, and even though FCN belives in their chance I don't see them as a winner in this match. Chelsea is not going to underestimate the Danes and will have a strong starting XI.

What are the odds?

Chelsea is be far favorites in this match. Any other result than a victory to the English will be a surprise. The same opinion is shared by most of the bookmakers given a 4/11 back on a Chelsea victory.
