It is
always hard to tell how the opening match will go, as both teams will be
careful not to lose points. On paper, Poland is best and given their current
form and the fact that they are having a home crowd backing them up they are
favorites. Greece will probably play a defensive match, as we know them, and hope
for some counter attacks. Personally, I see this match as a draw.

Netherlands
is clearly favorites for this match, if you compare the two squads. The Dutch’s
almost has a profile for each position on the pitch, and with deadly strikers
as Robin van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, this is not going to be an easy
match for Denmark. The Danes has a great fellowship and a believe that they can
create results. However, I don’t see this as enough against a well playing
Netherlands. The Dutch’s will win.

Germany and Portugal are not an easy bet. The Germans has a team of well playing players on each position, and are favorites. However, Portugal has Ronaldo. A match can’t be won by one player, but if the Portugueses manage to put their captain in play, with the right passes etc. he can win this for them. Germany, on the other hand, has a couple of players who can be decisive, and that is why I believe that we will see a Germany win by two goals.

On paper as
well as in real life, Spain is favorites. There is no doubt that Italy will
have something to say in this match, but Spain is just too strong. Spain has
been the leading team in Europe, if not the world, the last couple of years,
and the match against Italy is going to be a win. It is perhaps even worth,
taking a chance and betting on Fernando Torres as first goal scorer.
