The Brazilian made a fool of himself, asking for Robin van Persie's shirt in the break, during the match between Arsenal and Manchester United in the weekend.

Andre Santos has been a target for the critics, claiming that he is not good enough for Arsenal. Earlier this year he admitted that he could not rule out a transfer to his former club Fenerbache, but later changed his mind. However, his situation in North London does not seem to be any better after his latest blooper.

During the match between Arsenal and Manchester United, the Brazilian decided to ask Robin van Persie for his shirt. Now, the shirt-swap is a gesture in the world of football but Andre Santos should probably have chosen another occasion to get the shirt of Arsenal fans most hated person at the moment. It does not make it any better that the defender blamed Robin van Persie saying that he was the one asking to swap shirt - Santos did not even give his shirt to the Dutch.

Today, Santos has apologise to the club and the fans, an apology that has been accepted by Le Boss and Arsenal. However, the fans will not forget, and several media have today reported that the player is set to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.

It is not only because of the latest event, that Santos is on his way out. Earlier this year he was banned for driving for 12 months after a 140 mph car chase. This is normally something that Arsene Wenger cannot accept, but he did at the time it happened. Now the patience with the problem child seems to have gone.
