The battle for the Premier League trophy can continue after the international break and GDFB returns with the weekly predictions!

Newcastle United  - Liverpool
St James Park
19-10-2013 @ 12.45 UK

Newcastle United (4-3-3): Krul; Debuchy, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon; Tioté, Sissoko, Cabaye; Gouffran, Cissé, Remy.

Injuries: R Taylor (Knee), Ameobi (Knock). Doubts: Coloccini (Muscle), S Taylor (Hamstring). Bans: None.

Liverpool (3-4-1-2): Mignolet; Touré, Agger, Sakho; Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Enrique; Moses; Suárez, Sturridge.

Injuries: Allen (Hamstring), Coates (Knee), Coutinho (Shoulder). Doubts: Johnson (Ankle). Bans: None.

Liverpool has won 7 of the last ten matches between the two sides; latest 6-0 on St James Park last April. On paper, the Merseyside club has the strongest squad, and with the league top scorer Daniel Sturridge up front they will be a challenge for the Newcastle defends. The Toons are currently 11th in the league and can bring themselves in the sub-top with a win against Liverpool. However, in my opinion, Liverpool is the only possible winner of this match.

Swansea City - Sunderland
Liberty Stadium
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Swansea City (4-2-3-1): Vorm; Rangel, Williams, Chico, Taylor; Cañas, Shelvey; Dyer, Michu, Routledge; Bony.

Injuries: Hernández (Hamstring), Tate (Hamstring). Doubts: Davies (Hamstring), De Guzmán (Groin), Williams (Ankle). Bans: None.

Sunderland (4-3-3): Westwood; Celustka, O'Shea, Roberge, Colback; Larsson, Cattermole, Gardner; Johnson, Altidore, Giaccherini.

Injuries: Bardsley (Foot), Brown (Calf). Doubts: Dossena (Thigh), Fletcher (Shoulder), Westwood (Shoulder). Bans: None. (Ki is unable to play against parent club)

When Swansea and Sunderland meet the match is often an equal fight ending in a draw. The last 3 out of 4 matches has ended in a draw, leaving Sunderland with the only win back in 2012. Back then, The Black Cats Sessegnon and Gardner were the men behind the goal, but only one of them is left at the club. Both clubs have not had the start of the season that they hoped for, and especially Sunderland is in problems. Swansea lost in the last round against Southampton but will be the dominant team in this match. I expect them to deliver a good performance against a weak Sunderland.

Stoke City - West Bromwich Albion
Britannia Stadium
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Stoke City (4-4-1-1): Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters; Walters, Wilson, N'Zonzi, Etherington; Ireland; Arnautovic.

Injuries: Muniesa (Groin). Doubts: Walters (Groin), Wilson (Rib). Bans: None.

West Bromwich Albion (4-4-1-1): Myhill; Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Amalfitano, Yacob, Mulumbu, Berahino; Sessegnon; Anelka.

Injuries: Foster (Foot), Gera (Hamstring), Sinclair (Hamstring). Doubts: Anichebe (Groing), Thorne (Lack of match fitness), Vydra (Hamstring). Bans: None.

Stoke fancy a chance to take a step towards the mid table positions against West Bromwich on Saturday. However, the guests are in good form winning against Manchester United and drawing against Arsenal in the last two matches. That said, Sessegnon has been the best player for the Baggies and if Stoke manages to cover him, West Bromwich will struggle to come to any chances. Stoke is not playing at their best, but is now more or less free of injuries and can play with their best eleven.

Manchester United - Southampton
Old Trafford
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra; Cleverley, Carrick; Nani, Rooney, Januzaj; van Persie.

Injuries: Fletcher (Illness). Doubts: Cleverley (Calf), Ferdinand (Groin), Rafael (Knock). Bans: None.

Southampton (4-2-3-1): Boruc; Clyne, Fonte, Lovren, Shaw; Schneiderlin, Wanyama; Lallana, Osvaldo, Davis; Lambert.

Injuries: None. Doubts: Boruc (Hamstring), Shaw (Illness). Bans: None.

Manchester is on every football fan lips at the moment. The Champions are struggling this season and is not playing as we used to see them. However, the Red Devils are slowly coming back in form, and that is bad news for Southampton. Southampton, on the other hand, have been a big surprise this season and is current 4th in the Premier League! It will not be an easy task for any of the teams, but Manchester seems to have raised their play with the young talent Januzaj and I believe we will see a small victory to the home side.

Everton - Hull
Goodison Park
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Everton (4-3-3): Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Barkley, McCarthy, Barry; Mirallas, Lukaku, Osman.

Injuries: Gibson (Knee). Doubts: Alcaraz (Lack of match fitness), Pienaar (Muscle). Bans: None.

Hull (4-4-1-1): McGregor; Rosenior, Faye, Davies, Figueroa; Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Livermore, Quinn; Aluko; Graham.

Injuries: Brady (Hernia), Chester (Hamstring), Koren (Foot). Doubts: None. Bans: None.

Romelu Lukaku is on fire for Everton, and coming back from two well played matches for Belgium he will be deadly against Hull. The last 5 meetings between the two sides have ended in 3 victories to the Toffees, and they will be favorites for this match. That said, Hull is unbeaten in their last 5 matches with great help from Robert Brady. Unfortunately, Brady will not be available for this match due to a hernia injury.

Chelsea - Cardiff
Stamford Bridge
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Eto'o.

Injuries: Kalas (Leg), Torres (Knee), van Ginkel (Knee). Doubts: Cole (Rib). Bans: None.

Cardiff (4-3-3): Marshall; Théophile-Catherine, Caulker, Turner, Taylor; Gunnarsson, Medel, Kim Bo-Kyoung; Odemwingie, Campbell, Whittingham.

Injuries: Cornelius (Ankle). Doubts: None. Bans: None.

It's number three against number fourteen when Chelsea and Cardiff clash on Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blue Army are favorites against Cardiff, but the Welsh have already shown that they can compete with the best. Samuel Eto'o still haven't shown his worth his money, but he can bag a few against Cardiff's defends on Saturday. It will be a close match, but Chelsea are the favorites and should be able to get three points against Cardiff.

Arsenal - Norwich
Emirates Stadium
19-10-2013 @ 15.00 UK

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Szczesny; Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs; Arteta, Flamini; Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere; Giroud.

Injuries: Diaby (Knee), Oxlade-Chamberlain (Knee), Podolski (Hamstring), Sagna (Hamstring), Sanogo (Back), Walcott (Pelvic), Zelalem (Knock). Doubts: Cazorla (Ankle), Özil (Knee), Rosicky (Unknown).

Norwich (4-2-3-1): Ruddy; Martin, Bassong, Turner, Olsson; Tettey, Howson; Snodgrass, Fer, Pilkington; van Wolfswinkel.

Injuries: Bennett (Knee). Doubts: Pilkington (Knock). Bans: None.

It is an Arsenal in top form Norwich will meet at Emirates Stadium, but it can also be the first match without Mesut Özil on the attacking midfield. The German star was injured against Sweden yesterday and is rated doubtful against Norwich. The good news for the Arsenal fans is that Santi Cazorla might get a comeback. Norwich is putting their trust in a Dutch attack with Fer and van Wolfswinkel in front. The duo has not lived up to the expectations so far, and it is hard to picture them making a difference against Arsenal.

West Ham - Manchester City
Upton Park
19-10-2013 @ 17.30

West Ham United (4-3-3): Jääskeläinen; Demel, Tomkins, Reid, Rat; Morrison, Nolan, Noble; Diamé, Vaz Te, Downing.

Injuries: Carroll (Foot), Diarra (Knee).Doubts: None. Bans: None.

Manchester City (4-4-2): Hart; Zabaleta, Nastasic, Lescott, Kolarov; Navas, Touré, Fernandinho, Silva; Aguero, Negredo.

Injuries: Demichelis (Knee). Doubts: Jovetic (Knock), Kompany (Thigh). Bans: None.

Manchester City is currently 5th in the Premier League after their win against Everton in the last round. Their opponents and the home side, West Ham United, surprised everybody when they won against in form Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The Hammers will be eager to copy the act against Manchester City and they might well be able to shock the blue part of Manchester. Both sides are close to having their best starting XI available, with Manchester City as the strongest. I actually believe West Ham can get a good result in this match.

Aston Villa - Tottenham
Villa Park
20-10-2013 @ 16.00 UK

Aston Villa (4-3-3): Guzan; Bacuna, Clark, Vlaar, Luna; Westwood, El Ahmadi, Delph; Weimann, Kozák, Agbonlahor.

Injuries: N'Zogbia (Achilles), Okore (Knee). Doubts: Benteke (Hip). Bans: None.

Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembélé, Paulinho; Townsend, Eriksen, Sigurdsson; Soldado.

Injuries: Adebayor (Personal reasons), Capoue (Ankle), Kaboul (Knock). Doubts: Lennon (Foot), Rose (Ankle).

Aston Villa has not won against Tottenham in the latest 10 matches, with a total of 8 goals in the last 2 meetings. Tottenham has started well in the Premier League and is current 6th in the table but can with a win become a part of the top battle. After losing to West Ham in the last round, they will be eager to get back on track against Aston Villa, and they will win this match.

Crystal Palace - Fulham
Crystal Palace Park
21-10-2013 @ 20.00 UK

Crystal Palace (4-3-3): Speroni; Ward, Mariappa, Delaney, Moxey; Dikgacoi, Campaña, Jedinak; Puncheon, Chamakh, Kébé.

Injuries: Hunt (Ankle), Murray (Knee), Williams (Ankle). Doubts: Dikgacoi (Hamstring), Gabbidon (Hamstring), McCarthy (Lack of match fitness). Bans: None.

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Stockdale; Riether, Senderos, Hangeland, Amorebieta; Karagounis, Sidwell; Ruiz, Berbatov, Duff; Bent.

Injuries: Briggs (Hernia), Dejagah (Calf), Hughes (Thigh), Parker (Calf), Stekelenburg (Shoulder). Doubts: Berbatov (Knock), Hangeland (Back). Bans: None.

Crystal Palace is hoping for their first win in the Premier League when they clash with Fulham, struggling to get away from the bottom of the table. Fulham is more or less in a crisis, and Martin Jol is sitting in a hot seat at the moment, needing a win on Monday. Both teams are struggling with injuries and especially Fulham is missing some of the profiles. Maybe, this is Crystal Palaces chance for 3 points!
