Great Dane Football Blog – UK Edition will every week give four suggestions on where to place your bets in the weekend. This week takes us around the English Premier League, German 1. Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A and El Clásico in Spain!

Werder Bremen needs three points to bring themselves back in the top and in position for European football next season. However, the opponent is Bayern Munich, which Bremen has not won against since 2008. There is a guaranty for goals when these two meets and it is well worth considering betting on goals scored in the match. The two last meetings have ended 4-1 and 3-1 in Bayerns favor. Saturdays match is going to be a one sided affair with Bayern Munich as winners, perhaps 3-1.

The classic London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea is always a tricky bet. Arsenal has won the last two meetings with a 3-1 and 5-3 victory. However, Chelsea seems to be back in form and have not lost within the last three Premier League matches. An advantage for Arsenal can be the fact that Chelsea has played a midweek match against Barcelona and, therefore, could suffer from tiredness. I am putting my fade in Robin Van Persie and his goal scoring for this match and bets on an Arsenal win. Maybe even risking my money on a 3-2 victory with odds 25/1 at Ladbrokes.

Real Madrid has not won against Barcelona in ten matches, but it could change Saturday.  El Clásico has produced goals within the last ten matches and with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo fighting to win the top scorer prize this should not be an exception. However, I can not name a winner and, therefore, choses to bet on a draw, even though Barcelona is clear favorites according to the bookmakers. If both Ronaldo and Messi get some free space to play, this could end in a goal festival.

Juventus is currently ranked as the number one in the Italian Series A, one point ahead of AC Milano. Roma, on the other hand, has not had the season they hoped for and is positioned just outside the top. Juventus is the favorites for Sundays match and is the most safe bet. However, this looks more likely to be a boring draw, as both clubs does not have the attackers to make the decisive move. I am betting my money on the big X for this match!
