The Wednesday Update is back after New Year, with the latest injury and bans update!






NEWCASTLE UNITED FC

Injuries: 11

Newcastle United is missing a whole starting XI, before the weekends match against Norwich. However, Cisse, Coloccini, Gutierrez, Cabaye and Steven Taylor is reported to comeback on the 12th of January. Both Perch and Simpson is set to return next week, while Ben Arfa is out until early February. The comeback from Dan Gosling is still to be confirmed, while Vuckic will return in May and Ryan Taylor finally is back in March.

FULHAM FC

Injuries: 8

John Arne Riise and Damian Duff are both out with a calf/shin injury, while Stephen Kelly is out with a knee injury. The veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is struggling with his neck and Mladen Petric with an injured hamstring. However, all of the five players are set to return in the weekend. Etheridge, Diarra and Davies are out for an unknown time.

Injuries: 7

Only Nathan Baker is reported to be close to a comeback date. He will return from his hamstring injury in the weekend. Gardner will return from his ACL knee injury in may, while there is no confirmed date of Albrighton, Westwood,Vlaar, Dunne and Petrov.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS

Injuries: 7

Harry Redknapp is struggling to save QPR from relegation, and his chances are not looking any better with seven injuries at the moment. Hoilett and Zamora have a fair chance of a comeback next week, while Johnson is out until March with his ACL knee injury. Granero, Traore, Bosingwa and Ephraim are out for an unknown period of time.

MANCHESTER CITY

Injuries: 6

Both Aguero and Rodwell are out with a hamstring injury while Maicon and Richards have trouble with their knees. Toure is out with an illness and Kolarov is struggling with a hip/thigh injury. There is no confirmed return date of any of the six players.

Samir Nasri is serving a three match ban, following his red card against Norwich.

NORWICH CITY

Injuries: 6

With some luck, Norwich can have Grant Holtback from his hamstring injury for the weekends match against Newcastle. The same matters for Howson who has been out with a knock. Morrison will return next week, while there is no return date of Whittaker and Surman. John Ruddy is out for at least three weeks.

SUNDERLAND AFC

Injuries: 6

Carlos Cuéllar and Stephane Sessegnon are both doubtful for this weekend but at the same time the two players closest to a comeback. Lee Cattermole is set to return from his knee injury early February while there is no known return date of Rose, O'Shea and Brown.

Injuries: 6

West Browich are without six players for an unknown period of time. Fortune, Popov and Yacob are all out with hamstring injuries, while Gera is struggling with his knee. Olsson has a groin injury and Reid a calf/shin injury.

Injuries: 5

The Gunners has added yet another goalkeeper to the injury list as Mannone has joined Fabianski. The return dates of the two goalies is still to be confirmed. The young midfielder Frimpong is out with an illness for an unknown time while Santos and Diaby can return early next week. The first is out with an abdominal strain and the latter with a thigh muscle injury.

The Champions League winners is without Petr Cech for at least one more week, while Benayoun has returned to the club with a knee injury. John Terry and Romeu are also struggling with knee injuries - their comeback date is still to be confirmed, while Mikel can return this week.

Injuries: 5

The Blues are without five players for the weekends match against Swansea. Heitinga, Hibbert and Mirallas are out for an unknown time, while Gibson will return late January. There is a slight chance for Leighton Baines to return late this week.

Phil Jones has been recovering from a knock, and can be in play for this weekend. Both Nani and Wayne Rooney are out for at least a week more, while the return dates of William Keane and Anderson are still to be confirmed.

The Latics will face Fulham on Saturday without Miyachi, Watson and Piscu who all are out for at least a week more. There is no return date of Crusat while Alcaraz is doubtful for the weekend.

Both Ramirez and Clyne will are close to a comeback for the weekend, while Lallana and Fonte both are struggling with their knees and is out for an unknown time.

Like Liverpool, Reading is close to remove two players from the injury list. Leigertwood and Roberts are both in play for the weekends match against West Bromwich. Meanwhile, McCarthy is out for the rest of the season, due to his shoulder injury.
