Bayern Munich has already won the German League and is hoping to win their 5 Champions League title. Meanwhile, Dortmund is in their second final and can win the title for the second time. Match of the week is the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Champions League Final 2013
Wembley Stadium
25-05-2013 @ 19.45 UK

How are the two teams form?

Borussia Dortmund ended second in the German Bundesliga, with 66 points after 34 matches. The last match of the season was lost against Hoffenheim. In the Champions League, the Germans won their group in front of Real Madrid while Shaktar Donetsk and Malaga was sent out before Dortmund met Real Madrid once again in the semi finals. Here, Dortmund surprised most people and are now ready to battle Bayern Munich for the title.

As mentioned, Bayern Munich won this year's Bundesliga and in convincing style. In Jupp Heynckes last season as manager for the South German team, they won the league with 91 points and a goalscorer of +80. In the Champions League, Munich shared the 1st in group F with Valencian before beating Arsenal, Juventus and Barcelona on their way to the final.

The last 10 matches between the two teams have ended in 5  victories for Dortmund, 2 draws and 3 wins for Bayern Munich.

What are the probable starting formations?

Dortmund is probably without Mario Götze while Patrick Owomoyela definitely is out for the final. For Bayern Holger Badstuber and Toni Kroos are sidelined for the final.

Weidenfeller

Kirch - Subotic - Hummels - Schmelzer

Gündogan - Bender

Blaszczykowski - Grosskreutz - Reus

Lewandowski

Mandzukic

Robben - Müller - Ribéry

Schweinsteiger - Martinez

Alaba - Van Buyten - Boateng - Lahm

Neuer

What to expect from this match?

Dortmund is eager to win this match after losing the domestic league to the rivals from Munich. However, this is Bayern's chance to show that they are not only best in the German league but also in Europe.

Both teams have much of the same strengths and weaknesses why it is hard to find a favorite for this match. That said, a few more players from Munich have more experience with finals than most of the Dortmund players. This is something that can be crucial on Saturday.

What are the odds?

Paddy Power holds the best bet on a Dortmund victory with a 6/5 odds. Meanwhile, a draw gives 3 back a Bwin and a Munic victory gives the best odds at BETVictor with 15/4.

Dortmund has the chance of winning the double, with a victory against Bayern Munich and will do anything to do so. Bayern Munich are favorites, but given they have a Champions League final next week, their mind may be far away. This is going to be a hard match, but my feelings point on a Dortmund victory as they simply seem stronger than Bayern in the domestic cup.

Aalborg BK is back on track and in the race for the Europa League qualification, while Lyngby already is relegated to the Danish 1. Division. Lyngby has caused Aalborg problems before, and might do it again, but Aalborg is favorites in this match and should win. Nicklas Helenius is on fire and has scored twelve goals this season, hunting the number one and two in the top scorer list. Aalborg is going to win!

Brøndby’s de-route just seems to continue with last week’s defeat to Aalborg BK. At the same time, Aarhus GF is in the battle for European football next season and can with a win set some of the followers behind. At some point, Brøndby has to turn things around, but I don’t see this match as the time for it. Aarhus home is always a difficult place to play, and they will get a victory Saturday.

Manchester City only needs one point to bring the trophy to Etihad, while QPR needs a victory to secure themselves from relegation. Manchester City seems unstoppable and unbeaten in five matches in a row. With a full packed stadium, QPR is standing in front of some challenge, but I believe in the surprise and put my money on them!

Great Dane Football Blog - UK Edition gives a view on what's worth watching in football. This week features a Swedish derby,Europa League final, Italien fight and possible a trophy winning match in England!

AIK Stockholm - DjurgårdenIF
Allsvenskan Round 8
Råsunda Stadion
08-05-2012 at 18.00 BST

Head-to-head (Last 10 matches):

AIK Stockholm: 2 victories / 9 goals

        Draws: 4

Djurgården IF: 4 victories / 11 goals

James Keene
The traditional Stockholm Derby between AIK and Djurgården is certainly worth watching. This two teams hate losing too each other, and the match will be full of intense duels and fights on the midfield. AIK Stockholm is currently positioned as number three in Allsvenskan, while the rival from  Djurgården is to be found positioned as number eleven. Djurgården has won three of the last four meetings, but AIK will do anything to stop them from doing it again. It is worth  keeping an eye in the former Portsmouth striker James Keene. Keene is on a loan in Djurgården, where he so far has scored three goals in six matches.

Atletico Madrid - Athletico Bilbao
UEFA Europa League Final
Bucharest National Arena
09-05-2012 at 19.45 BST

Head-to-head (Last 10 matches):

 Atletico Madrid: 5 victories / 15 goals

           Draws: 0

Athletico Bilbao: 5 victories / 14 goals

Falcao
Evil tongues say that UEFA wanted a Spanish Champions League final; instead they got a Spanish Europa League. And what a match we have on our hands: Athletico Bilbao has surprised everyone this year, showing great football in the Champions League as well as in the Europa League. On the other side, Madrid has also shown good form and is unbeaten in four matches, in a row. Goals is guaranteed in this match, with Europa League topscorer Falcao and Andrián Lopez and Fernando Llorente on the pitch. Well worth watching!

Dortmund - Bayern Munich
DFB Pokal
Olympic Stadium
12-05-2012 at 19.00 BST

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

     Dortmund: 5 victories / 14 goals

        Draws: 2

Bayern Munich: 3 victories / 15 goals

Robert Lewandowski
The two giants in German football clash in this DFB Pokal final. Dortmund has already won the league and has the chance to win the double. However, this is Bayern Munich’s chance to win some domestic honor in this season, even though the players focus might be on the Champions League final next week. The last four matches have ended with a Dortmund win, and this one might just be another one, but finals are of unsound mind. It will be interesting to see which of the two top strikers, Mario Gomez (Munich) or Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund), will be most decisive in this match.

Lazio - Inter Milan
Italian Serie A Round 38
Olimpico
13-05-2012 at 19.45 BST

Head-to-head (Last 10 matches):

Lazio: 2 victories / 7 goals

Draws: 1

Inter: 7 victories / 16 goals

Diego Milito
Both Lazio and Inter have not quite had the season they were hoping for. Currently they are positioned as number five and six, with only one point separating them, before Sundays match. Lazio can with a win, set back Inter in the chase of the Europa League Qualification for next season, but they have to be aware of the top striker, Diego Milito. Inter will attack from the first whistle blow and bombard the Lazio goal! I look forward to this one!

Manchester City - Queens Park Rangers
English Premier League Round 38
Etihad Stadium
13-05-2012 at 15.00 BST

Head-to-head (Last 3 matches):

    Manchester City: 2 victories / 7 goals

              Draws: 0

Queens Park Rangers: 1 victory / 5 goals

Carlos Tevez
Queens Park Rangers will need a win to be hundred percent sure to stay out of relegation, while Manchester City can needs a win to win the league. However, it is most unlikely that City will do so, as they will love to bring the trophy to Etihad Stadium with a win. This match is going to be interesting, as both teams has something on stake. Unfortunately for QPR, I think Manchester City is going to win this one, but never say never. I will particularly keep an eye on Carlos Tevez, as the Argentinean has the strength to split the QPR defends into pieces.

What's worth watching this week?
Week 15

Great Dane Football Blog - UK Edition gives a view on what's worth watching in football. This week features the German 1. Bundesliga, Portuguese Primeira Liga as well as the FA Cup.  A great week for football fans!

Newcastle United - Bolton Wanderes
English Premier League Round 33
Sport Direct Arena
09-04-2012 at 15.00 UTC/GMT + 1

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

Newcastle United: 4 victories / 13 goals

           Draws: 2

 Bolton Wanderes: 4 victories / 13 goals

Newcastle United is just worth watching this season. The team from the north has showed some fantastic football this season, and with Cisse as primus motor, I am looking forward to this one. Bolton is struggling in the lower end of the table and will do anything to put a stick in Newcastle’s wheel, in order to save themselves from relegation. However, I believe Newcastle will be too strong for Bolton, and this match may generate s couple of goals. Enjoy watching, the goal machine!

Sporting Lisbon - Benfica
Primeira Liga Round 26
Estádio José Alvalade
09-04-2012 at 20.15 UTC/GMT + 1

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

 Sporting Lisbon: 1 victory / 6 goals

           Draws: 2

         Benfica: 7 victories / 13 goals

Both Benfica and Sporting are desperate to win this match, as they both need three points. Benfica can with a win bring them, only one point away from Porto positioned as the number one in the Portuguese league. On the other hand, Sporting can with a win take a vital step into qualifying directly to the Europa League.  Sporting is in a good streak, with three wins and one draw in the last four matches; however, they have not won against Benfica since 2009. This match is worth watching, as both teams is known for a high level of technical football players, and we might get to see a couple of goals.

Borussia Dortmund - Bayern Munich
1. Bundeslga
Westfalenstadium
11-04-2012 at 19.00 UTC/GMT + 1

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

Borussia Dortmund: 4 victories / 13 goals

            Draws: 4

    Bayern Munich: 4 victories / 20 goals

This week features a top clash between the most winning team in Germany, Bayern Munich with 21 Bundesliga titles, and last year’s champions Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund is currently positioned as the number one in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich three points behind. This match is guaranteed to generate goals a respectively, number one on the top scorer list Munichs Mario Gomez and number three Dortmunds Robert Lewandowski are likely to be in the starting XI. Bayern Munich has not won against Dortmund since March 2010 and is starving to get three points. I am defiantly looking forward to this one!

Liverpool FC - Everton
FA Cup Semifinals
Anfield Road
14-04-2012 at 12.30 UTC/GMT + 1

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

     Liverpool FC: 5 victories / 14 goals

            Draws: 4

          Everton: 1 victory / 6 goals

The FA Cup semifinal features the Merseyside Derby, the classic match between Liverpool and Everton. Liverpool has so far had a terrible season and has not won in four matches now. This will be the chance for the players to show their fans, what they are actually capable of, and I think we will see an attacking Liverpool right from the start. Everton, on the other hand, is on a good streak with three wins and one draw in the last four games, and given they have lost the last two Merseyside Derbies, they are hungry for a victory. The Merseyside is always worth watching!

Tottenham Hotspur - Chelsea FC
FA Cup Semifinals
White Hart Lane
15-04-2012 at 18.00 UTC/GMT + 1

Head-to-head (last 10 matches):

Tottenham Hotspur: 2 victories / 12 goals

            Draws: 6

       Chelsea FC: 2 victories / 14 goals
Number three and four in the Premier League meets in the FA Cup Semifinals, when Tottenham Hotspur takes on Chelsea on White Hart Lane. Chelsea is back on track after Di Matteo took over the steering wheel and has not lost in five matches. Tottenham started out the season in terrific form but have fallen back since, with some rather weak performances. However, the result of the semifinal could also show which of the teams would end highest in the league.
