Arsenal

Arsenal is set back with not less than eight injuries before the season opener against Sunderland. Rosicky, Sagna, and Frimpong are definitely out of the game, while there is no news about the return date of Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere. Both Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny are set to return on Saturday, but it is still to early so whether or not they will play.

Injuries: 6
When Newcastle welcome Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, it will most likely be without Hatem Ben Arfa and Tiote, as they are out for an unknown time. However, there are great news for the Toons-fans as Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse as well as Coloccini and Ameobi is set to return on the 18th of August.

Injuries: 5
At the moment, all of the five injured Aston Villa players are out of the match against West Ham. Dunne, Albrighton and Agbonlahor, is all set to return throughout September, while there is no official return date of Chris Herd. The last nonavailable player is Petrov who suffers from Acute Leukaemia and is doubtful to ever return.

A few of City's many profiles is out of the game on Sunday against Southampton. Mario Balotelli and Joe Hart are out for an unknown time, while Micah Richards and Gareth Barry will be available from mid September.

Manchester is without defender Chris Smalling for their first match in the season while both Phil Jones and Darren Fletcher will be out of the match. On the positive side, there is a slight chance for Jonny Evans to be ready for the match.

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neil will be happy to have Sesseegnon back from his foot injury on Saturday. However, the Black Cats will be missing Wes Brown who is out with a knee injury. Vaughan and Bardsley are the two other injured players in Sunderland.

West Ham is back in the Premier League, but is seems to be a rough start with four players out for an unknown time. Collins, Collison, Nolan and McCartney are all out for the Hammers.

Norwich City will go into their first Premier League match with three injuries. However, with some luck Ward and Hoolahan will be ready for Saturday. Unfortunately for the Canaries, their new face in the squad Steven Whittaker is unlikely to make the season kick-off.

Jimmy Kébé is set to return on Saturday, but is unlikely to play following his hamstring injury. Both McAnuff and Cummings are out for an unknown time.

Stoke City will be missing three players for the season start, as Wilson and Jerome both are out for an unknown time. The profile, Robert Huth is out with Viral Meningitis but is set to return in September.
