Total: £49.324.000

Arsenal has sold two of their biggest profiles from last season - Robin van Persie and Alex Song. While Wenger managed to land both Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski, none of them has so far shown that they can take over for the Dutch striker. Arsenal has sold out of the reserves as well and filled the places with some exciting young talents. The question is whether or not, this will be just another season without any medals for the Gunners.

Aston Villa

Transfers in:

Brett Holman from AZ Alkmaar (Free transfer), Karim El Ahmadi from Feyenoord (£2.464.000), Matthew Lowton from Sheffield United (£3.300.000), Ron Vlaar from Feyeenoord (£3.344.000), Joe Bennett from Middlesbrough (£2.992.000), Jordan Bowery from Chesterfield (£554.400), Jean Il Makoun from Olympiacos (Return from loan), Ashley Westwood from Crewe (£2.200.000), Christian Benteke from RKC Genk (£7.744.000)

Total: £2.816.000

Aston Villa has brought some routine to the squad, with Brett Holman. The Ausi has been a profile in the Dutch league and will have a great value for Aston Villa. Ron Vlaar will also be a value player for Villa, with his hard work in the defence. Villa has been out and snatching talents in some of the minor clubs, and it is going to be interesting to see what they really can do on a higher level. While some young players has come to the club, older players as Emile Heskey and Carlos Cuéllar, has left and so has their routine.

Chelsea FC

Total: £86.856.000

Transfers out:

José Bosingwa to QPR (Free transfer), Salomon Kalou to Lille (Free transfer), Didier Drogba to Shenhua (Free transfer), Rhys Taylor to Southend (Free transfer), Ulises Dávila to CE Sabadell (On loan), Matej Delac to Guimarães (On loan), Kevin de Bruyne to Werder Bremen (On loan (£396.000)), Romelo Lukaku to West Bromwich (On loan), Josh McEachran to Middlesbrough (On loan), Conor Clifford to Portsmouth (On loan), Sam Walker to Bristol (On loan), Gaël Kakuta to Vitesse (On loan), Nathaniel Chalobah to Watford (On loan), Thorgan Hazard to Zulte-Waregam (On loan), Michael Essien to Real Madrid (On loan)

Total £396.000

As always, Chelsea has been  spending a lot of money. The Hazard brothers both have a great future, and Chelsea has really made a scoop signing both. Also, the signing of Oscar and Marko Marin, shows that Chelsea is starting to build up a team for the future. The most surprising transfer in Chelsea must be Real Madrid's loan of Michael Essien. he is not a part of the plans at Stamford Bridge, but I doubt he can make it to the starting XI in Madrid.

Everton

Transfers in:

Steven Naismith from Rangers (Free transfer), Steven Pienaar from Tottenham Hotspur (£5.060.000), Bryan Oviedo from FC Copenhagen (£3.960.000), Matthew Kennedy (Fee Undisclosed), Joseph Yobo from Fenerbahce (Return from loan), Aristote Nsiala from Accrington (Return from loan), Kevin Mirallas from Olympiacos (£7.732.000)

Total: £15.752.000

Transfers out:

Total: £16.500.000

Many Everton-fans will be happy to have Steven Pienaar back in the squad, as well as the signing of Steven Naismith, promises a good season. Bryan Oviedo is unknown for many English football fans. However, Everton has made a fantastic signing here. The Costa Rican back has been promising for FC Copenhagen and was scouted by Manchester United last season. With Oviedo, Everton gets a great attacking back.

Fulham

Transfers in:

Hugo Rodallega from Wigan (Free transfer), Mladen Petric from Hamburger SV (Free transfer), Corey Gameiro from Fulham U18, Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United (£4.400.000), Kieran Richardson from Sunderland (£2.200.000), Ashkan Dejagah from VfL Wolfburg ((£2.200.000), Sascha Riether from Cologne (On loan), Danny Hoesen from Fortuna Sittard (Return from loan)

Total: £8.800.000

Transfers out:

Andy Johnson to QPR (Free transfer), Danny Murphy to Blackburn (Free transfer), Pavel Pogrebnyak to Reading (Free transfer), Orlando Sá to AEL Limassol (Free transfer), Björn Helge Riise to Lilleström (Free transfer), Marcel Gecov to KAA Gent (£686.400), Dickson Etuhu to Blackburn (£1.672.000), Corey Gameiro to FC Eindhoven (On loan), Richard Peniket to Kinderminster (On loan), Moussa Dembélé to Tottenham Hotspur (£16.720.000), Danny Hoesen to Ajax (£440.000), Clint Dempsey to Tottenham Hotspur (£6.600.000)

Total: £26.118.400
One of this transfer window's transfer saga's has been about Clint Dempsey. Liverpool was favorites for a while, but the American ended in Tottenham. Fulham has also said goodbye to the two strikers Andy Johnson and Pavel Pogrebnyak, but the replacement in the form of Dimitar Berbatov is amazing. He is going to be the stat of this team. I am also looking forward to see Mladen Petric in the white shirt!

Liverpool

Transfers in:

Fabio Borini from AS Roma £11.704.000, Joe Allen from Swansea £16.720.000, Samed Yesil from Bayer Leverkusen (£1.144.000), Alberto Aquilani from AC Milan (Return from loan), Dani Pacheco from Atlético Madrid (Return from loan), Joe Cole from Lille (Return from loan), Oussama Assaidi from sc Heerenveen (£3.520.000), Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid (On loan)

Total: £37.448.000

Transfers out:

Lewis Hatch to Accrington (Free transfer), David Amoo to Preston (Free transfer), Stephen Darby to Bradford (Free transfer), Dirk Kuyt to Fenerbahce (£880.000), Maxi Rodríguez to Newell's (Free transfer), Jay Spearing to Bolton (On loan), Charlie Adam to Stoke (£5.456.000), Andy Carroll to West Ham (On loan), Alberto Aquilani to Fiorentina (£1.760.000), Graig Bellamy to Cardiff (Free transfer), Nathan Eccleston to Blackpool (Free transfer), Dani Pacheco to Real Valladolid (On loan)

Total: £9.196.000

Liverpool's number one target, Clint Dempsey, was sold to Tottenham, and the biggest profile in this transfer window must be Nuri Sahin. Andy Carroll was allowed to go on a loan in West Ham on the last day of the window, and the fans might wonder how this season is going to be, as the team is now in lack of strikers.

Manchester City

Transfers in:
Richard Wright from Preston (Free transfer), Jack Rodwell from Everton (£13.200.000), Scott Sinclair from Swansea (£6.864.000), Maicon from Inter (£5.280.000), Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina (£13.376.000), Javi Garcia from Benfica (£17.776.000), Roque Santa Cruz from Betis (Return from loan), Vladimír Weiss from Espanyol (Return from loan), John Guidetti from Feyenoord (Return from loan), Wayne Bridge from Sunderland (Return from loan)

Total: £56.496.000

Transfers out:

Stuart Taylor to Reading (Free transfer), Owen Hargreaves (Free transfer), Ahmed Benali to Brescia (Free transfer), Greg Cunningham to Bristol Rovers (Fee undisclosed), Wayne Bridge to Brighton (On loan), Dedryck Boyata to FC Twente (On loan), Nigel De Jong to AC Milan (£3.080.000), Roque Santa Cruz to Malaga (On loan), Vladimír Weiss to Pescara (£1.584.000), David Pizzarro to Roma (End of loan), Harry Bunn to Crewe (On loan), Emmanuel Adebayor to Tottenham Hotspur (£5.632.000), Adam Johnson to Sunderland (£11.088.000), Stefan Savic to Fiorntina (Free transfer)

Total: £21.384.000

City is a big spender in every transfer window; this one was not an exception. The blue part of Manchester is strengthened with the signings of Maicon, Jack Rodwell and Javi Garcia. The players leaving the club has been  marginal players, and Mancini has made a great job this summer.

Manchester United

Transfers in:

Shinji Kagawa from Dortmund (£14.080.000), Nick Powell from Crewe (£6.600.000), Ángelo Henríquez from Universidad de Chile (£4.840.000), Bebé from Besiktas (Return from loan), John Cofie from RFC Antwerp (Return from loan), Tomasz Kuszczak from Watford (Return from loan), Robin van Persie from Arsenal  (£27.016.000), Alexander Büttner from Vitesse (£4.400.000)

Total: £56.936.000

Transfers out:

Total: £9.772.400

While City has been good at the transfer market, United has been the best. The Red Devils is preparing for the battle of Manchester and might have the most deadly attack after the signing of Robin van Persie.  Shinji Kagawa has been a profile in Dortmund, and he will have to take the extra step up to reach the same status in Manchester. However, the Japanese is capable of it!

Newcastle United

Transfer in:

Romain Amafitano from Reims (Free transfers), Gaël Bigirimana from Coventry (£1.100.000), Mehdi Abeid from Newcastle Reserves, Curtis Good from Heart FC (£453.200), Xisco from Dep. La Coruña (Return from loan), Vurnon Anita from AFC Ajax (£7.480.000)

Total: £9.033.200

Total: £5.544.000

The most important for Newcastle was to keep the profiles from last season. This has been accomplished. Meanwhile, some interesting players have joined the toons. Amafitano and Bigirimana might not be starting XI potential right from the start, but they will make a great back up. The defender Vurnon Anita is an interesting player with a great future in front of him. Good job Pardew

Norwich has been hunting free or cheap players this summer. They have managed to get get some experienced names to the club, while they have said goodbye to some of the players, bringing them back in the Premier League.

Total: £1.333.200

QPR has been busy this summer. One of the positions, where the squad has been strenghtened is in th goal. Both Robert Green and Julio Cesar are top class goal keepers, and there will be a battle for the starting XI. The midfield also looks strong, and the Joey Barton loan to Marseille is the only right thing to do. Especially, when Stéphane Mbia comes the other way.

Total: 792.000

Reading needed a striker - they signed Pavel Pogrebnyak! What a signing for Reading. They look strong this year, with the Russian, as well as, Stuart Taylor and Danny Gunthrie in the squad. Reading will not be a top team, but they will stay away from the bottom!

Southampton

Total: £0

Southampton has let many of the players leave on a free transfer, and has not gotten a single pound. However, they have spent more the £30m on players as Jay Rodriguez and Steven Davies, in their try to stay in the Premier League. I am not convinced, but time will show.

Stoke City

Transfers in:

Jamie Ness from Rangers (Free transfer), Geoff Cameron from Houston Dynamo (£1.892.000), Michael Knightly from Wolves (£3.080.000), Charlie Adam from Liverpool (£5.465.000), Maurice Edu from Rangers (£554.400), Steven N'Zonzi from Blackburn (£3.872.000)

Charlie Adam joined Stoke in the dying hours of the transfer window and will be an active for the midfield. It seems as Stoke has focused on the midfield this summer, with the signings of Steven N'Zonzi and Maurice Edu.

Carlos Cuéllar from Aston Villa (Free transfer), Asamoah Gyan from Al-Ain FC (Return from loan), Cristian Riveros from Kayserispor (Return from loan), Luis Saha from Tottenham Hotspur (Free transfer), Adam Johnson from Manchester City (£11.088.000), Steven Fletcher from Wolverhampton (£13.376.000), Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur (On loan)

Total: £10.736.000

Sunderland has made some great signings this summer. Carlos Cuéllar and Luis Saha has brought some routine in to the squad, and Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson some speed. They might not be a top team, but they will secure themselves a spot in the center.

Swansea City

Transfer in:

Chico from Genoa (£2.200.000), Jonathan De Guzman from Villareal (On loan), Michu from Rayo Vallecano (£2.261.600), Jamie Proctor from Preston (Fee undisclosed), Itay Shechter from 1. FC Kaiserslautern (Fee undisclosed), Kyle Bartley from Arsenal Reserves (£1.144.000), Sung-Yong Ki from Celtic (£6.124.800),

Total: £23.548.000

Michael Laudrup has bought some, for the English football fans, unknown players. However, they have all been a succes from the start. Swansea could not hold on to Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair who both wanted to leave the club. However, selling both of them for a total of  £23.548.000 is a great deal for the Swans. Swanse has started with light and thunder, and it seems the signings of Pable Hernándex and Kyle Bartley can help them to stay in this form.

Tottenham Hotspur

Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim (£8.800.000), Jan Vertonghen from AFC Ajax (£11.000.000), Vedran Corluka from Bayer Leverkusen (Return from loan), Oscar Jansson from Shamrock Rovers (Return from loan), Jack Barthram from Tottenham U18, Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City (£5.632.000), Moussa Dembélé from Fulham (£16.720.000), Hugo Lloris from Lyon (£8.800.000), Clint Dempsey from Fulham (£6.600.000)

Total: £59.294.400

Given their transfers, Tottenham is going to be a nightmare for their opponents. Even though, they have said goodbye to a great deal of players; and especially Luca Modric, they have found some good replacements. The defends seems to be much stronger with Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris. In the other end of the pitch, Clint Dempsey, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Emmanuel Adebayor will terrify the other teams.

West Bromwich Albion

Transfer in:

Ben Foster from Birmingham (£4.400.000), Yassine El Ghanassy from KAA Gent (On loan), Claudio Yacob from Racing Club (Free transfer), Markus Rosenberg from Werder Bremen (Free transfer), Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea (On loan), Goran Popov from Dynamo Kiev (On Loan)

Total: £2.200.000

West Browinch has said goodbye to Nicky Shorey, but the replacement is Markus Rosenberg. He was one of Swedens best talents a couple of years ago, and he might be a great deal for WBA. Lukaku and Goran Popov on the loan is going to make the offensive line dangerous!

West Ham United

Transfer in:

Mohamed Diamé from Wigan (Free transfer), Stephen Henderson from Portsmouth (£655.600), Jussi Jääskeläinen from Bolton (Free transfer), George McCartney from Sunderland (Free transfer), Modibo Maïga from Sochaux (£5.280.000), Raphael Spiegel from Grasshoppers (Undisclosed fee), James Collins from Aston Villa (£2.816.000), Alou Diarra from Marseille (£2.200.000), Pablo Barrera from Real Zaragoza (Return from loan), Matt Jarvis from Wolverhampton (£8.360.000), Andy Carroll from Liverpool (On loan)

West Ham is back in the Premier League, and it looks as they are planning to stay. The Hammers has been active on the market and brought some exciting players to London. Andy Carroll was announced on the last day of the market, and he can be an important active for them.

Wigan Athletic

Transfer in:

Fraser Fyvie from Aberdeen (£558.000), Ryo Miyaichi from Arsenal (On loan), Iván Ramis from RCD Mallorca (£5.280.000), Mauro Boselli from Estudiantes (Return from loan), Arouna Koné from Levante  (£3.344.000)

Total: £9.182.000

Transfer out:

Ryo Miyaichi to Arsenal (End of loan), Chris Kirkland to Sheffield Wednesday (Free transfer), Hendry Thomas to Colorado Rapids (Free transfer), Hugo Rodallega to Fulham (Free transfer), Mohamed Diamé to West Ham (Free transfer), Steve Gohouri (Free transfer), Connor Sammon to Derby (£1.320.000), Lee Nichols to Northampton (On loan), Victor Moses to Chelsea FC (£7.832.000), Nouha Dicko to Blackpool (On loan)

Total: 9.152.000

Wigan has said goodbye to the, perhaps, biggest profile; Victor Moses. Instead, they have brough Ryo Miyaichi back on a loan from Arsenal, and the Japanese might be a good player for them. Wigan has been one of the least active on the market, even though they have lost a great deal of the routine players.
