Arsenal's last chance for a trophy this season is the Champions League. Pressure is on Wenger facing the German side Bayern Munich to night. Is this the French last chance?

Eight years of trophy draught in Arsenal have left the fans in despair, and after the weekends failure against Blackburn all focus is on the Champions League. At first sight, Munich seems as quite a mouthful for the Gunners and Wenger. However, the French will do his best to get his men ready for, perhaps, his last match for Arsenal?

Many fans have lost their patience with the manager after all these years with lack of silverware, and his politic of not spending money. While one profile after the other has left the team, only Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla has joined. Wenger has always had a politic of developing stars rather than buying them. This has given Arsenal players as Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and latest Theo Walcott.

However, Wenger's transfer politic is old fashioned and does not match with the competition in Premier League today. Despite my own hatred against Chelsea and Manchester City's way of buying them to success, this seems to be the way to win the Champions League. On the other hand, Arsenal probably has the most healthy economic in the Premier League at the moment. Unfortunately, this does not give any trophy.
Stevan Jovetic
Should Arsenal lose the two matches against Bayern Munich as be out of the Champions League, Wenger will be under a major pressure. Not by the board - from which he still has the trust - but from the fans. The demand is pretty clear; buy some players or leave the job.

Another Giroud or Andres Santos will not make it for the fans. Names as Stevan Jovetic and David Villa is what the Gooners will want to hear - and what the team needs.

Tonight will show if Wenger can stand the distance, and if the board can overrule the fans pressure. Enjoy the match!
