Meanwhile, Ben Watson is finally set to return for training with Wigan, but will still be unavailable until he is back in fitness. There is still no return date of Michael Pollitt and Albert Crusat struggling with thigh and knee injuries respectively. Iván Ramis is set to return in October 2013.

Newcastle is still struggling with injuries ahead of the Southampton match this weekend. Hatem Ben Arfa and Sam Ameobi are doubtful due to hamstring injuries while Yoan Gouffran picked up a shin injury against Tottenham. However, the French might be ready for the weekend. There is currently no return date for the ankle injured Dan Gosling while Taylor can return late March. Harris Vuckic, however, is out for the season.
