Are you tired of watching Messi smashing another fifty goals in the back of the net, or tired of wondering whether Englands starting XI for the EURO 2012 is going to be mainly West Bromwich players? Start watching female football... why you may ask? Great Dane Football Blog gives you five reasons why! (It was hard for me to settle with five!)

1.    Katie Peterson
      American

Katie Peterson is one of the reasons why, I am going to watch American College soccer next season! The good looking woman is a part of Long Beach State Athletics Women’s soccer team. Not only is she cute; she has also won several awards for her defensive play in the American competitions. The brown haired defender led her high school team to four consecutive Sunset League titles and an appearance in the CIF finals We might have a new, hot member for the American national team!

2.    Kosovare Asllani
      Swedish

One reason to love Sweden: Kosovare Asllani. The Swedish attacker is playing for Kristianstad DFF in the Damallsvenskan, as well as for the Swedish national team. The twenty year old has also had a past in the American Women’s League, playing for Chicago Red Stars, joining them after winning everything possible in the Swedish league with Linköpings FC. Great skills and great look… I love Sweden…

3.    Justine Bernier
      Canadian

Canada is known for their ice hockey and maple syrup, but what truly matters is Justine Bernier. The goalie is a senior at The University of Alabama, where she plays for Alabama Crimson Tides women’s soccer team. Just another reason for watching American college soccer! Bernier has broken the all-time career saves record of 301 and the Alabama shootout record for her team, so her look is not her only talent! Oh, how I wish
I was a striker in the USA!

4.    Bri Swift
      American

I guess the American women’s college league is the place to be a football coach! Bri Swift is striker for North Florida Ospreys, the soccer team of University of North Florida. In her high school years, she scored none the less than sixty-three goals in seventy-six matches! What a performance! She has also won four district championships in a row, and well… she is hot!

5.    Kate Gill
      New Zealand

New Zealand has produced football players as Spurs' Ryan Nelson, West Brom’s Chris Wood and Blackburn's Tim Payne… Now forget them and take a look at Kate Gill! The striker has chosen to play for Australia, where she so far has had sixty-five matches and scored thirty-two goals. She’s not only looking hot; she’s hot on the pitch, as well! The Australia star has spent her career in Swedish and Austrialian football, where she has been described as a striker that is stronger in the air and on the ball. When can we play a friendly, Kate?
