Great Dane Football Blog – UK Edition will every week give four suggestions on where to place your bets in the weekend. This week takes us to the Champions League final, cup finals in Portugal and Italy as well as the Npower Play-off final!

Npower Play-off Final

West Ham has had a good firm grip in Blackpool this season and has won all four matches. The Londoners are going to win this one as well, especially if Vaz Te can keep up his scoring form. However, Blackpool is not to be estimated, and will not lay down. The odds are high, but West Ham are my favorites.

Champions League Final

19-05-12 – 19.45
Bayern Munich
-
Chelsea FC

Bayern Munich on the home stadium against Chelsea, is going to be some task for the English team. Bayern Munich has shown good form in the ChL this season, something you can’t say about Chelsea. The Germans simply seems to be in better form, and they will win this one, in front of their home crowd. The bet is not high, but I see it as a safe one.

Portuguese Cup final

20-05-2012 – 17.00
Sporting Lisbon
-
Academica

Sporting’s season has not turned out as they hoped for, and the cup is their last chance for bringing a trophy to the capital. Academica is in the cup final for the first time in forty-three years, and are going in to this match as underdogs. However, they will do whatever they can to win this cup, and I could see the do it. Academica’s Edinho, on loan from Málaga, is the top scorer of the club and has the potential to be decisive. It is going to be a hard one, but Academica is my bet.

Coppa Italia

20-05-2012 – 20.00
Juventus
-
Napoli
11/10
9/4
13/5

Juventus has won the league and are favorites for this year’s Coppa Italia final. The opponent is Napoli, so it is not going to be a walk-over for the Old lady. Both teams have the strikers to win this match, and Carvani and Milito are both up for a couple of goals. This could very well end as a draw after 90 minuts.
